The charitable film donation project “Bringing Movies to My Hometown” was launched during the 15th Beijing International Film Festival on Apr. 23, 2025. More than 100 people from all walks of life attended the launching ceremony.

Co-initiated and organized by the China Foundation for Human Rights Development (CFHRD) and China Film Group Corporation, the project aims to further promote and safeguard the cultural and educational rights of primary and secondary students and to widely mobilize Chinese filmmakers to carry out charitable education activities in their hometowns," said Zhou Shuchun in his speech.

Being a movie star who contributed 200,000 yuan to the project, Huang Xiaoming recalled his experience of watching movies in his childhood and called for concerted efforts to build a brighter future for children.
Cheng Xiao, a young actress who also donated 200,000 yuan to the project, hoped that more and more children would know what love and responsibility were through movies.
