Updates on the Activities of CFHRD in Geneva, July 1-2

From July 1 to 2, members of the delegation from the China Foundation for Human Rights Development (CFHRD) attended the country-specific reviews of Bolivia, Gambia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, and other nations during the 59th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. During this period, relevant experts participated in a side event titled "Digital Technology and the Rights of Women and Girls," hosted by the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the United Nations Office in Geneva.
On the morning of July 2, the CFHRD in collaboration with the Geneva-based Universal Rights Group (URG), successfully held a thematic side event on "Environmental Rights Protection in the Context of Climate Change" at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. Experts and scholars from the delegation, along with representatives of URG delivered keynote speeches. The parties engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics including environmental rights protection, climate policy, green development and collaborative cooperation, as well as achievements in environmental protection in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and the Taklamakan Desert regions.
