CFHRD organizes medical assistance program in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia

2026-01-23

From September 22 to 23, 2025, a team of medical specialists organized by the China Foundation for Human Rights Development (CFHRD) conducted medical assistance activities at Tongliao People’s Hospital and Horqin Left Wing Middle Banner People’s Hospital in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region..

This effort is a concrete practice of the CFHRD’s commitment to safeguarding people's right to health, aiming to enable local residents to access high-quality medical treatment by capital-based specialists without leaving their hometown.

The medical team is composed of specialists from Peking University First Hospital, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Beijing Shijitan Hospital, Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing Gulou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and China-Japan Friendship Hospital. Their expertise covers multiple key fields, including neurosurgery, ocular trauma, pediatrics, and gastroenterology.

The specialists provided free medical consultation services to over 600 patients during the event. They patiently inquired about patients' conditions, carefully reviewed medical reports, and formulated tailored treatment plans for each patient, receiving widespread praise from local residents.

Following the free treatment, the medical team held discussions with the two local hospitals, conducting in-depth exchanges on topics such as optimizing diagnosis and treatment processes and enhancing grassroots medical service capabilities.

This event not only directly met the local residents' medical needs, but also helped train local medical professionals through clinical teaching, contributing to the building of sustainable medical service capacity in the region.
