The Second Training Program on Promoting Responsible Business Conduct in Overseas Investment was successfully held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, from May 20 to 22. The program was jointly hosted by the China Foundation for Human Rights Development (CFHRD) and the Publicity Department of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, and co-organized by SDIC Human Resources Service Co., Ltd. and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

Zhou Shuchun, executive vice president of CFHRD, Zhao Lifu, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, and Qin Hong, vice president of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.

The training program was designed to implement the relevant requirements of China's National Human Rights Action Plan and to encourage Chinese enterprises engaged in overseas trade and investment to follow the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, conduct human rights due diligence, and fulfill their corporate responsibility to respect and protect human rights. Experts and scholars specializing in business and human rights and international communication delivered lectures during the program. Representatives from nearly 50 enterprises, including Hubei's state-owned enterprises and leading private companies, participated in the training.

During the program, Zhou also led a delegation on a visit to Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC), where participants exchanged views on topics including ESG-compliant business operations, supply chain management, and human rights due diligence in labor practices.
